PCIM Asia On-Site Recap: PMIC Exhibits Frontier Technological Achievements, Dr. Zhao Wending Wins the “University Scientist Award”

September 25, 2025

On September 24–25, 2025, the Power Management Innovation Consortium appeared at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, participating in PCIM Asia, the Shanghai International Exhibition for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management. PMIC not only showcased multiple hardcore frontier technological achievements in a concentrated manner, but also achieved fruitful results in academic and industrial exchanges, becoming a striking highlight of the exhibition.

At this exhibition, PMIC focused on displaying multiple innovative technologies and demonstration prototypes, including all-copper sintered SiC modules, multilevel PFC, and high-frequency high-efficiency high-density DC-DC, which together formed an innovation map spanning device packaging, topology, and system applications, comprehensively reflecting PMIC’s deep accumulation and collaborative innovation capabilities in frontier technology fields and attracting a large number of professional visitors to stop and exchange ideas.

During the exhibition, the PMIC booth welcomed many industry partners, including leading companies such as Infineon, Bosch, and EPC, as well as experts and scholars from multiple well-known universities. They showed strong interest in the technological achievements exhibited by PMIC and conducted in-depth discussions around technical details, industrialization paths, and potential cooperation models. PMIC’s innovation model of closely integrating industry, academia, research, and application was praised and recognized by both industry and academia.

In addition to the splendid exhibition, PMIC also shone brightly at the PCIM Asia academic forum: Dr. Zhao Wending and student Jiang Xu from the PMIC team respectively delivered high-level oral reports at the conference titled “25kW/L 99.2% Efficiency Wide Output Three-phase PFC based on Modular Inductive Switching Network” and “Dynamic On-Resistance Characterization of GaN HEMTs under High Temperature Using Multigroup Double Pulse Test,” engaging in deep intellectual collisions with peers.

Particularly worthy of celebration is that Dr. Zhao Wending won the “University Scientist Award” presented at this conference! The research results of student Chen Haobin were also exchanged through a poster presentation, showcasing the advanced packaging technology of double-sided cooled copper sintering.

During this PCIM Asia journey, the Power Management Innovation Consortium made a splendid appearance, fully demonstrating PMIC’s platform value and strong vitality in promoting innovation in power management technology.

In the future, PMIC will continue to gather industry wisdom, deepen industry-university-research cooperation, and remain committed to building an exchange platform that transforms frontier technologies into drivers of industrial upgrading.
