Focusing on Technology Frontiers, Discussing the Industry’s Future Together — The Power Management Innovation Consortium 2025 Winter Technical Symposium Successfully Held!

December 23, 2025

On December 19, 2025, the 2025 Winter Technical Symposium hosted by the Power Management Innovation Consortium (PMIC) of the Hangzhou International Science and Technology Innovation Center, Zhejiang University, was successfully held in Hangzhou. This meeting aimed to showcase PMIC’s project progress, share frontier achievements in the field of power management, and promote deep integration and collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research, and application.

The meeting was co-chaired by Professor Zhang Junming, Professor Wu Xinke, and Associate Professor Shao Shuai of Zhejiang University. Experts, technical representatives, and graduate students from more than 30 member companies, universities, and research institutes attended the symposium.

The meeting had a rich agenda, focusing on industry hotspots and key technical challenges, with a total of 1 PMIC development report, 1 specially invited thematic report, 6 PMIC project reports, 2 ecosystem technology reports, and poster and prototype display and exchange sessions.

Professor Yang Shu of the University of Science and Technology of China was invited to give a specially invited report titled “Gallium Nitride Power Electronic Devices: From Planar to Vertical,” providing an in-depth analysis of the technological evolution path and development prospects of GaN power devices.

The 6 project reports closely centered on core directions such as high-density high-efficiency power conversion, advanced topologies and control methods, and electromagnetic interference suppression, specifically covering frontier research content such as three-phase AC-DC conversion technology, switching power supply dithering frequency technology, MHz high-frequency DC/DC conversion technology, hybrid switched-capacitor architectures, and wide-gain-range multilevel Buck control. The reports were excellent and showcased PMIC’s in-depth exploration and technical accumulation in exploring frontier common technical challenges.

For the first time, the conference added an “Ecosystem Technology Report” session, inviting ecosystem partners—Micsig and Kunqin (Ansys)—to share third-generation optical isolated probe technology and electromagnetic compatibility simulation methods, respectively, providing attendees with important tool and methodology support.

This symposium continued PMIC’s tradition of promoting in-depth industry-academia exchange, with poster and prototype display sessions. Nearly thirty graduate students presented their phased research work and displayed laboratory prototypes, engaging in face-to-face, zero-distance in-depth discussions with company representatives. The on-site exchange atmosphere was lively, and the collision of ideas provided new inspiration and directions for subsequent technical research and cooperation.

The successful holding of this winter symposium not only systematically reported PMIC’s research achievements, but also strengthened the technical ties and cooperation network among member units. PMIC will continue to play its role as a platform, gather innovation resources, and jointly promote breakthroughs and industrial upgrading in China’s power management technology.
